# Resolve a failed payment

## If a payment fails, you can resolve it by updating the credit card on file. This article walks through the steps.

**How to Update Your Credit Card**

1. Log in to your Certificate of Service account.
2. Click **Settings** in the bottom left corner.
3. Click **Billing**.
4. Under Payment Methods, locate the card on file.
5. Click the pencil icon to edit the existing card, or click **Add Method** to add a new card.
6. Enter the updated card information and save.
7. Click the star icon next to the new card to set it as the default payment method, if needed.

**What Happens Next**

Once the updated card is on file, the jobs that were not successfully charged will be run against it. After those charges succeed, you can resume submitting new jobs.

- You cannot submit a new job until all outstanding charges have been successfully processed.
